Based on advice from one of the UK's leading conservation consultancies, a great deal of time and funding has been invested in conserving the wide diversity of wildlife and fauna which enriches the grounds of Ladera

The badger is a very shy creature and could easily have felt threatend by the lodge development. The pleasure of seeing such creatures in their natural setting as depicted in the watercolour, painted by Bill Geldart, one of the North West's leading artists for the past four decades, will be shared by lodge owners courtesy of personal webcam

Ladera is a truly sustainable environment where the new lodges co-exist in perfect harmony with nature. This is where you can experience the true meaning of country living - the sounds and scents, the ever-changing climate and of course the birds and woodland animals - all the while enjoying everything that luxury lodge living can provide.

Foxes, Rabbits, wild ducks and geese share the grounds of Ladera with their human co-residents creating year-round interest. For the discerning botanist there is much interest to be had in discovering the different species of fauna in the woodland.

Ladera have worked very hard to create this vibrant natural oasis, protecting endangered species, rare plants and threatend habitats. A part of the Ladera site is, infact, a conservation area dedicated to the welfare of badgers, protecting their sets and maintaining the local ecological balance.
